Houston - Bristol, TN via Warm Springs, GA and back
I'm planning a road trip where I'll be the only driver. I'll possibly have one passenger to help handle navigation and weather up ahead. Since I'll be going through the south, would racism (towards POC) be an issue considering I'll be on the interstate for most of the trip? Potential stops are: Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Biloxi, Mobile, Montgomery, Atlanta, and Chattanooga. I'm planning to use a mix of AirBnB and car camping to keep accomodations cost effective.
I haven't heard much about people being pulled over for nothing and getting abused on the interstate since the the interstate usually bypasses the city rather than going through so I'd like more input on this. I'll be in Warm Springs, GA for an aviation fly-in a close friend of mine is hosting. I almost certainly won't have this opportunity soon (or after I get out since my friend probably won't still be having it in 5 years) as I'm leaving for the military in a month and a half.
