I’m planning to visit all of the New England states from October 22nd through the 27th. My itinerary includes exploring Maine the 22nd and 23rd, leaving from Bar Harbor and driving through New Hampshire via Mt Washington and Lake Winnipesaukee to Cambridge MA on the 24th, explore, MA, RI, and CT on the 25th, explore VT on the 26th, and head back to Portland before the 27th.

What would be the best stops for the day trip on the 25th for MA, RI, an CT? I already have a few Ivy League Colleges and MIT on the list to visit, but I want to know some of the most spectacular spots in those areas.
