Cross-country roadtrip. Help?!
I’m (23F) driving from CA to MI. It’s a 34 hours drive non-stop. I’m relocating and I need my car so I figured I might as well enjoy the route along the way! (right...?)
The furthest I’ve driven was from CA to AZ and that was with a friend switching off. This trip is going to be a solo trip with a car filled to the brim with stuff so I don’t really know what to expect or how to proceed.
I don’t plan on getting there as fast as possible. I want to put aside 3/4 days for the drive so I can visit cool places and explore different states. But my main worries are about the underlying details.
How long should I drive at a time? Where do I stay the night that is safe? Will my packed car attract unwanted attention? Etc.
I’d like to think I’m a cautious and aware person, but I realize I can be naive and oblivious so I want to be prepared and ready for whatever comes my way. Any and all advice would help! Thanks 🙏
