Me and my friends have floated this idea for a while and we plan on doing it after high school before college. I’ve started looking into it, I’ve come up with a route that goes from NY back home to LA. I reckon that, spending wisely, we can get the fuel cost for the car down to $450 for the whole trip, excluding the hire cost. We intend to camp most of the way, and spend money on experiences rather than accommodation, any advice on how to find camp sites along the way?
