Forced road trip thanks to hurricane Laura
Okay, thanks to hurricane Laura me and the family(wife, 2 kids and a small well mannered dog) are going to be taking an extended road trip from Southwest Louisiana up to the Pacific Northwest. We got a tent and places to stay along the route and plan on making at least a two or three-week trip out of it. Was curious if anybody had any tips or tricks that would help us reduce costs and keep everybody happy during this time.
Especially with the pandemic going on and all. Seems like a bad time for it but we don't really have a choice.
Any spots that we definitely should see? Good campgrounds? Ways to eat healthy on the road? Should we rent a van instead of taking the family car? Should we not go and hunker down in a disaster zone for 4 to 8 weeks with no power and water? What does reddit think?
