Best luxury sedan for 1k mile road trip?
Hi! My bf and I are taking a road trip from Chicago to Colorado in a couple weeks. We decided to look into renting a car instead of using his since he just bought his and doesn’t want to immediately pack on all that mileage. We were looking at Sixt car rental company (any insight into the company also appreciated) and they have some really nice luxury sedan options for pretty cheap. For example a Mercedes C class is only 35 a day. We don’t NEED a luxury sedan but the economy sedans/cars they have aren’t the best so it’s like why not spend $5-10 extra dollars for a luxury car. Anyways my bf is a car guy and I feel like he’s getting tunnel vision and just wants the nice fast car whereas I’m more of the practical one who wants a nice, comfortable, safe car for the ride.
Amongst these luxury options available at sixt does anyone have any advice on what would be best for a long road trip? Or if we should just opt for the cheaper economy cars all together?
-Mercedes CLA (Lincoln MLZ or similar) $35 -Mercedes C class (BMW 3 series, Cadillac CTS, or similar) $38 -Cadillac CTS (Mercedes E class, Volvo s90, or similar) $41
Not looking for SUVs just because we’re both more familiar and comfortable with sedans and it’s our first road trip. Any advice is appreciated!!!
