What can I do to prepare myself for an 8 hour drive and prevent my phone from overheating?

This is my first solo long distance trip so I’m trying to be as prepared as possible. I’m moving back home in a few weeks and in preparation for my 8 hour drive I’d like to get any advice on preparing and what I can do to prevent my phone (iPhone 8 Plus) from overheating during my trip. Some things I’ve done already and plan on doing:

-deleting unused apps -limiting which apps can utilize my location to just the GPS -leaving early in the morning -removing my case -turning off my WiFi and Bluetooth -cracking my windows and/or blasting my AC -purchasing a mount for the vent (I currently have one that sits on my dashboard) -purchasing an Apple certified car charger and adapter (the one I currently have is a 2-in-1 charger and AUX cable that has been having support issues anyway)
