I am currently moving across most of the country, ending in San Jose, CA. Normally I would have made a whole trip out of the drive, but due to COVID I've just been taking the most direct route. Tomorrow I finish the trip from Reno to Sam Jose. I do have to be in San Jose at 1 and can't leave Reno until 7. So that gives me MAX 5 hours (I don't want to be late to my move in appointment).

The most direct route takes me through Tahoe National Forest. Or I could head towards South Lake Tahoe and drive along the lake for a bit. Which should I do? I just want a pretty drive. I might step out of my car for a minute to take a picture and appreciate where I am but I won't be able to walk around at all.
