Round Trip Roadtrip Help.
Hello all new to the sub, as many others in here I am planning a huge roadtrip for the summer and wanted to get opinions here on what I've got so far from those with more experience. My goal is go through the whole gulf coast an come back through the Midwest.
The route that I've chosen I think will be a lot of fun and give me the opportunity to see a bunch of different terrain and see a lot of cities, but I would love some suggestions in terms of attractions in those cities or places along the way worthy of a stop. There also a couple I was kinda not sure about but I want I put them in anyway because I haven't yet been to that state, so if any of my stops are kinda dull I'd love to know that as well.
I'm also sure there are some logistical things I haven't thought of yet, I'm young so I want to keep cost to minimum. I'm ideally going to camp the whole time to eliminate lodging, I also will probably be bringing my own food for around a third of my meals, maybe more if it's practical. I'm going to get my oil changed pretty soon before I leave but I know I'll still need to change it at some point on the road.
For the actual driving aspect I just put everything into google maps and that's what it spit out, so I'm sure it's all interstates. I'm trying to keep the daily driving relatively low so I'll have plenty of time to explore whatever location I'm in for the day. If anyone knows any interstates I should definitely or smaller roads that are just more pleasant I'd love to hear about those as well.
This trip is in the VERY early stages of planning which might appear obvious to some. But I'm really excited for it and want to make the most of it so constructive criticism and recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
