Road trip from philly?
My boyfriend and I were meant to fly to Ft. Lauderdale and then drive into Key West in a few days but the flights were cancelled and refunded.
I’m not really sure when it will be safe to take a plane again, especially to go to a place like Florida which doesn’t seem to be taking precautions. Instead, we were considering using the money to go on a road trip instead, maybe in a month or two when things calm down a little.
We would be starting in Philly and wouldn’t want to go more than 6hrs away, since my boyfriend is the only driver and we want to avoid stopping overnight at a hotel. I was interested in the Great Smokey Mountains national park but that’s too far.
Anyone have any suggestions? Obviously there are some great cities within this distance, but we want to stick to more quiet, nature-y destinations since we wouldn’t be able to really enjoy a city at this time. We would rent an Airbnb wherever we go. Thanks!
