Is it a bad time to plan a U.S. roadtrip?
Before all of this COVID stuff started happening, my friends and I were planning a road trip at the end of July from Seattle up to Banff N.P., Canada to explore all that’s around there and come back.
Now our plans are being adjusted a little and we’re thinking of making it a U.S. road trip instead. We have about a week of time available to travel. We were going to be camping the entire time but would stay in a cool Airbnb/resort if there was one worth visiting.
I don’t want to be reckless and travel to these U.S National Parks or small cities and potentially spread COVID. I will of course watch for updates on things but I imagine it will be a similar situation in July as it is right now.
Do you think it’s safe to road trip right now with the world as it is? If we were to road trip, can you suggest any routes or stops that are less touristy or a “must see”?
We were thinking of going to East from Seattle and seeing things around Glacier N.P. but are still in the planning phase and open to anything. Any tips you can give for planning a road trip? Or stops you can recommend?
