First 14-hour solo road trip this week. What are some best practices?
I'm 22, never driven longer than about 4 hours straight, and I’m planning to drive up to Seattle, Washington from Napa, California as I’m moving back into my apartment for the summer.
Given the whole COVID-19 situation, I know there isn't much sightseeing I can do on the way but I'm hoping to stop and stretch every few hours just to stay active and keep myself from burning out. I booked an Airbnb in Eugene, Oregon (which is about 8 hours from where I start) to make an overnight stop and then start making my way to Seattle (another 5 hours, if that) the next morning.
As such, what are some things I’ll need for the drive (besides money for tolls, water, snacks) that isn’t common sense? Because the world isn't in its best shape, anything to keep in mind outside the normal?
