Car camping west of the Mississippi - what should I do?
I'm leaving for my first ever car camping road trip next week. My starting point is Wisconsin. I'm heading west, but I have no plans. The trip could last for a few weeks. I've done the I-90 trip to Devils Tower in Wyoming, so I'm hoping to change it up a bit. I'm interested in scenic drives, horseback rides, motorcycles, national parks, interesting locations, local curiosities, and meeting people (from a safe distance, of course). Hopefully, I'll make it out to the Pacific Ocean and then head back home. One bucket list item for the return trip is the Going-to-the-Sun road in Montana. I'd appreciate any ideas for things to see, routes, places to go, etc. (I would RPAN the trip, but I don't think I qualify for that yet.) Thanks in advance!
