Best Time of Year for Multi-Month Grand Tour of US?
Hey all,
I've been planning and saving for some time now and my goal is to quit my job sometime this year or early next. I want to take off roughly 2-3 months and tour the eniterty of lower 48 and potentially Alaska. I have a mini travel trailer with propane heat, AC unit, fridge and cooktop.
I keep getting hung up on when the best time to start this trip would be. Late summer seems like a good time to do this. Wont be too hot and I can catch some fall foliage in the mountains towards the end of the trip.
Or do I wait until late winter. Catch some late season skiing and spring weather? Lets pretend COVID is not a factor right now as I might push this whole thing to next year when things hopefully settle down. Im just soliciting input for general road trip best practice. Thank you!
Happy Road Trippin'!
