Advice on when to travel to Africa
Hi, I’m [17M] and I’m off to college after summer this year. My dad is taking me any place in the world as a “graduation gift” and I want to go on a Southern Africa safari (Cape Town - Namibia - Botswana - Victoria Falls). I had everything planned out, an then corona hit. It was going to be an overland safari, so I would be in a group in a truck, and we would mostly camp out for the duration of the trip (~23-35 days). Once the whole virus situation worsened, we realized it was a bad idea to travel. I live in central NJ, and the trip was planned for the beginning of august.
Do you think this trip is still possible? I’m trying to figure out what’s the plan of action, as there are only a few spots on the safari left. Do you guys think it will be safe to travel by then? Africa currently has really low corona numbers, but that may be just because there isn’t much testing going on there. Thanks in advance!
