Moving to LA from Kansas City by car! Which route?
Hello all! Long story short, I'm planning a move to Los Angeles from Kansas City. Hopefully it'll be sometime this year, but it won't be until this crazy COVID-19 thing settles down a bit (everything's closed in LA right now anyway, might as well stay in KC and save up some more money, right?). Anyway, I'm planning on making the move a long road trip (probably like 5-7 days) and seeing national parks, sights, etc. I've only ever been to Rocky Mountain National Park and the Grand Canyon out west. I'm not a camping person, but I love easy/moderate hiking. I also love history and natural history (dinosaurs, space, etc.). Basically, there are two typical options when trying to go to California from Kansas City, that's I-70 through Colorado, Utah, and Nevada or the southern track taking me through Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. I'm also vegan, so if one track has more vegan friendly food stops, I'd love some recommendations! Definitely send me some ideas of places I can stop and explore!
Edit: Oh, I should mention, I'm only taking my little Toyota Yaris, so I won't be driving a moving van or anything, and it's just me; no other people are moving with me.
