Midwest to California
A couple months ago I drove 2,000+ miles with my dog to visit family since my boyfriend left for a decently long work trip. This craziness all came about while I’ve been in the Midwest, but I’m wanting to drive back to California in the next couple days. My reasons are 1. My family isn’t taking this very seriously and I don’t want to risk contracting/spreading the virus because of their carelessness 2. Our house has been sitting empty and I worry that if anyone catches wind that nobody has been there, people might start looting (I live in a good area and my trusted neighbors are looking out, but you never know) 3. I work from home and my family does not have WiFi, so trying to work off of my phones tethered WiFi has been a nightmare.
I know this isn’t the smartest of safest time to make such a long trip, but I feel that going back home and being completely ALONE for this period of time will be the safest option for myself and everyone else. Does anyone have any tips as far as staying safe during the trip? I plan on making as few stops as possible, for gas only. Since I will have my dog I will try and avoid going inside places to go to the bathroom.
