I've completed several country road trips in the U.S. with this sub's help, and I am coming again for help for another one! :)
First, you were all so kind and helpful when it came to planning my trips last year.
Trip #1 was route 66, then on to Zion, Bryce, Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Devil's Tower, the Badlands, Cuyahoga, and back home.
Trip #2 was straight out on i-80 and i-70 through the Rockies, Arches, Canyonlands, Monument Valley, to NorCal to see family, down to Disneyland, then through Joshua Tree, Saguaro, Guadalupe (closed due to gov shutdown), White Sands, Carlsbad (closed due to gov shutdown), Dallas, Hot Spring (closed due to gov shutdown), Memphis, Nashville, Mammoth Cave (closed due to gov shutdown), Louisville, and home.
I'd also posted here in the past re: road trips through the Deep South and through Ireland.
Now, I am planning for a trip from May 8, 2020 to May 31, 2020. Total of 24 days.
We haven't yet explored the Pacific NW, most of Colorado outside of the i-70 corridor, upper plains/Midwest (North Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan), and New England (though we have been to Maine and loved it). I worry about the rain in the NW and the mud season in Colorado but we are flexible.
What do you guys think for 24 days in May? What would you do?
Thanks for all of the help and support!
EDIT: We currently live between Washington, DC and Richmond, VA if that helps for a starting point.
