Taking extended road trip to america
Hello friends from across the pond. I doubt this is the right place to ask but..
Im looking into taking an extended roadtrip across your country but im doubting for as how long i wanna stay. At a minimum i'm talking 4 years to indefinite.
Now some questions arises:

if im in the USA on holiday , can i work without a green card?

how long does applying for a green card take?
-
is it possible for an european to stay indefinite in the USA?
What are some inconveniences i can experience applying for a green card?
My plan is far from concrete but im thinking of traveling from the Great lakes down to New Orleans by the Mississippi. Mainly to see the countryside and experience the country.
In Belgium i repair bikes for a living so also wondering if bikes are broadly used in the USA?
If you got some info or must see places in that broad area, be free to fill me in!
