In the last 3 and a half years I have been road tripping across the US. Over 250k miles. Glad to offer any tips.
At first all I had was a credit card and the inclination to try craigslist rideshares. Now that some other hustles have developed that let me travel I don't do rideshares hardly at all. I'm guessing I drove maybe 500 people and probably about 40 animals during my runs. I figured out the tricks to not getting stabbed in the throat by strangers. I am able to prove this because there are no stab wounds on my throat. This is surprising to apt of my friends and family.
I've been broke with no gas in the middle of nowhere and made it work. Been through all the rental car companies, home shares, motels and all other things that come with trying to find sleep late at night. Spent many nights scouting parks or sleeping in my car at rest areas. 13 hours in the trunk was my record.
