Horseshoe Bend Information - Summer 2019
I've seen a lot of misinformation (or at least conflicting information) on the internet about Horseshoe Bend in Page, Arizona. I visited in June of this year (2019), and just wanted to help clear some things up.
When we visited in June of 2019, a parking lot and entrance station had been built. There is a $10 fee to get in (for cars, not sure about buses/RVs). The parking lot is paved and had plenty of spots for cars (at the time we visited, which was around 3:00 P.M.), and there is a separate area for buses and RVs to park. There are also pit toilets next to the parking lot (but they were not anywhere as clean as those found in National Parks).
Here are a few images of the facility (from the top of the first hill on the trail.).
There were lots of tourists on the trail and at the bend, but I would not say that it was insanely busy. Railing has been added along parts of the cliffside. There are still plenty of areas where you can walk right up to the edge without a railing.
I hope this information helps someone!
