[23/F] Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil

Hello! In a bid to avoid studying for my exams I have been looking at places to go on my trip next year - I land in Santiago on 20/02 and fly out on 30/04, so I have a little less than 2.5 months. I've booked my campsites for TdP (walking the O-Circuit in 7 days) and have my flight to Puerto Natales on 21/02 booked but nothing else is really set in stone. I was thinking I'd do something like this:SantiagoPuerto Natales (flying from Santiago)TdP (O Circuit)Puerto Natales - El CalafateEl ChaltenBuenos Aires (flying from El Chalten)ColoniaMontevideoPunta del diabloFloripaSao PauloParatayRioIguazu Falls (flying from Rio)SaltaHumahuacaAtacama / Salt flats?Santiago (flying from Atacama)ValparaisoMendozaSantiagoAre there any places I should hit along the way that are missing? Also, are there any places on that list that could be missed? I anticipate I'll probably find myself staying longer in a couple of places than I except so will need to figure out what to skip to compensate. Also would love hostel reccs - I like lowkey sociable hostels that are just a step below an actual party hostel (but party hostel reccs, especially in BA and Rio very welcome). Some things to consider:I am a big fan of hiking but really not of the cold - initially I was considering going back down by bus from BA to Bariloche instead of going up to Brazil but I think it'd probably take me at least a whole month to get back down there (while hitting the cities in the North, and maybe Paraguay) and my feeble bodied Australian self does not like the prospect of it being 10-15 degrees. Having said that, it would be nice to be in that area as then I could see Chiloe/ a bit of the South parts of Chile and Argentina so I could be convincedOn the note of hiking, any day hike reccs I can do from the places listed above or nearby would be greatAnother route I was thinking was to cut out the Brazil portion and spend some time in Paraguay, so also open to be convinced to thisI kind of want to go up to the Pantanal in Brazil but realise that'll mean I'll have to skip all the Northern parts of Chile and Argentina. Is it worth it? Are there any cool hikes that I can do around here and on my way up? Should I go to the Amazon? Is there anything like the Lost City trek you can do from Colombia nearby?Reccomondations on urbex locations or some particularly cool atlas obscura type stuff would be neatSolo female yes, but not too concerned about safety so no need to factor that into advice :) via /r/solotravel https://ift.tt/2Z3r2gA
