Why are Europeans so extremely racist towards Asians?
I have been travelling solo (I am a female and age 24) throughout Europe and I am of Asian descent and have experienced so much racism and have been verbally attacked everywhere I go. It is getting so bad that I am considering cutting my vacation short. Is it so hard to be nice to another HUMAN being? When I travel, I always follow the etiquette of whichever country I am visiting, I know I am a guest in their country and I try to be as polite as possible wherever I go, but I am finding that in Europe (Spain, France, Greece, UK, Portugal) I am being treated like scum. Here are a few examples:Spanish men groping me (my vagina) - they were not pick pocketing as I was wearing a dress with no purse or anything so no visible pocketsRestaurants refusing to let me in. I went to a restaurant and was told it was closed and a second later a caucasian person goes in and they served herServers in general just treating me differently. For example, I ordered a steak and they only gave me sides (mashed potatoes) and they said I have to wait for the meat and they made me wait one hour while everyone ahead of me in line got theirs in 5 minutes when I asked why they said I just have to waitCab drivers not having change (I only had 10 euro bill and the ride was 5 euros, he refused to give me change) - maybe this is some type of scam though that happens to everyoneHotel and hostel workers not acknowledging me - I will say "Hello I am here for checkout or checkin" and they just stare at me without saying ANYTHING and just go on with their own business. Then when a caucasian person comes they say hello right away - this has happened MULTIPLE times in almost every hostel, hotel and even restaurant. I end up just standing there and having to say hello at least 3-5 times before they acknowledge mePeople yelling at me - "CHINESE!! JAPANESE!! SUSHI!! CHINA CHINA CHINA" everywhere I go lolThese are just a few examples that have absolutely ruined my trip and view of European people.
