Solo female traveler in Rio
I’m travelling to RDJ from Montréal for the first time and it’s also my first solo trip :) I’m 23 y/o and I’ve already visited couple places, but never by myself and those places didn’t have quite the same reputation as Rio. I was wondering if you guys have any other safety tips besides the “no jewelry, not walking alone at night, crossbody bag”... and I have a couple questions :)I’m open to meet new people, but if anything, is it safe for me during the day to walk around near ipanema or Copacabana or the south zone in general, alone? Can I walk around and take pictures etc? I have a blog so I really really wanna capture as much as I can.How safe is public transport? I’m planning to visit the touristic areas and I was wondering if it safe for me to go by subway and whatnot or if I should stick to Uber ?How “normal” is it for people to see others taking pictures? Like I said, I really wanna capture as much as I can but I don’t wanna be a target or draw too much attention to me either.Is it safe for me to use my phone on the subway?
