Seattle to San Francisco advise.
In the early stages of planning for next summer. Thinking of flying into Seattle and taking the Pacific Coast Highway to San Francisco, possibly Los Angels. We will have to rent a vehicle for the adventure regardless. I'm thinking of buying some camping gear once we get there, camping as much as possible to save some money and donating the gear to a homeless organization before we leave. We are looking for must see stops, either popular or off the beaten path. Will be traveling with a 7 and 12 year old. I already plan on going to Olympic NP, St Hellens, Mt Hood, Crater Lake, and the redwoods. Looking for recommendations on must see and tourists traps to avoid. Thanks in advance. Edit: I should add, the timeframe will be the end of June to early July, two-three weeks long.
