Recommendation for Destination to Solo Travel for 4 days to "Recharge"

Hi All, thank you for taking the time to read this post. Life has been very stressful for me in the past year, both on the personal and professional sides. My spouse is giving me 4 days in August (I know, last minute trip!) to do some solo traveling to "recharge" my mind/soul. I've always enjoyed solo-travel, just don't get the opportunity to do it often.I'm located on the East Coast of United States, so since I only have 4 days, I figure I cannot travel too far since then 2 days would be "wasted" on a plane. Therefore, I'm thinking somewhere in the US or Canada. I'm looking for a quiet place with nature views like a mountain retreat to take nice long hikes (I'm not really a "beachy" kinda person). I'm looking to spend $1,000 USD or less if possible, so awesome places like:- BANFF (Alberta, Canada I think)- Mohonk Mountain Houseare kinda out of the price range, but something along the lines of the above would be nice. I don't need to explore the surrounding area of the "resort", if they have places and activities to do on the grounds, that's totally fine.Thank you so much in advance for any suggestions, I really need this retreat to "recharge"! via /r/solotravel https://ift.tt/2ybwKOe
