Putting in my 2 week notice tomorrow
I've always wanted to travel and see the world with my own eyes.I've been planning this for the last several months. Lurking this thread. Watching YouTube videos. Found Chase's bag videos. Just waiting for the day I could pull the trigger.I've kept my plans pretty open. The only flight I've booked is a one way flight to Tokyo on 9/11. After a few weeks in Japan, I plan to explore South Korea, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.I've got a laptop and a canon rebel Ti7. I intend to use those to eventually generate some meager income digital nomad style. I have savings to live off for a while if I'm frugal, but I'm hoping to transition to a more entrepreneurial mode of moneymaking and see this as an opportunity to do so.I think I'm fairly well prepared and I know what I need to do between now and leaving, but I'm having all these butterflies and apprehensions. I'm wondering if there is anything glaringly obvious I've missed.I've never really travelled before. Let alone solo.Kinda worried about language barriers.Kind of worried about people stealing my stuff.Kind of worried about all this noise in Hong Kong.But I'm also super excited. I've worked a 9 to 5 in an industry I don't care about since I graduated college 6 years ago. The prospect of getting out of a cubicle and getting to travel and see the world, it's almost overwhelming.Anyway, I hope to post more about it.
