Mixing Hostels and Hotels city by city (SEA)
Hi all,So I'm doing a solo trip to SEA and I'm trying to figure out which places I should stay in a hostel vs hotel. For a bit of background, I'm planning to split my time largely because I want a mix of social environments and relaxing times without people all around me all the time. I'm particularly looking for suggestions on locations where having some people to meet and explore with would be beneficial (vs a place where I might just lay on a beach and relax for a few days or just use guided tours around well planned areas, etc). Any suggestions on hostel vs hotel in each of these places would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks in advance!Some key things to note: Starting in Singapore early-mid August, budget is relatively flexible, I could do all hotels if I wanted or all hostels and it wouldn't materially affect my trip.
