I just completed a year-long Masters degree in Budapest and as a treat to myself before heading home to the United States, I am going to Barcelona for a few days, arriving early Sunday morning and departing Wednesday late evening. It's my first time in this city or in Spain so I would love to hear recommendations about what people love in the city as a solo traveler. Particularly looking for tasty places to eat, cool/interesting cafes, any hiking or walking trails around the city, fun places to meet other travelers (since i'm not staying in a hostel), and things which are NOT worth checking out.Generally, when I go to a new city, I just like to walk around and experience it with little prior planning/knowledge, but given my limited time in Barcelona for this trip i'd love to go in with a general idea of what I'd like to do.
