Giving it all up to go travel. Am I being crazy?
I'd like to hear from others who have done similar things about how you look back on your decisions and experience.Long story short, I'm a 28yo professional in a high-paid job that I love and enjoy, and am basically being promoted rapidly up the corporate ladder. The trouble with this, I grew up with parents who were world travelers and always dreamed of going backpacking around the world. I myself have done quite a bit of adventuring, and those memories stand out FAR more than any others- spontaneous adventures, beautiful places, strange romance and great friendships...In about two years I'll have a fat nest egg stored away and I'm considering just blowing it all off to go pursue my dream of vagabonding around the world. There are moments where I just think, holy shit, I've created a life for myself that is many people's dream, and I just want to shit can the whole thing in search of some fantasy adventure that will inevitably end with me in my 30s with no job, no girlfriend, no place to stay, and likely not much savings left. Can I get a sanity check that this is not a totally stupid thing to do before I make any drastic decisions? via /r/solotravel http://bit.ly/2WORHNa
