First Time Solo Traveling Need Tips/Rec (Female) Looking Along the West Coast! Thinking like a 2-3 day thing

Just dealt with a rough time and I feel a solo trip to get away from it all can be really good for me. I live in the LA area of California so I feel for a first time I don't want to wander too far and I am hoping for some safe recommendations with maybe some fun things to do while there. I can't drive due to my vision so I am hoping for any recommendations on websites to find cheap hotels, hotel recs that are in a great walking area, and thinking near train stations? I've seen some trains that go from LA to Santa Barbara or even San Francisco, but honestly a Portland trip could be fun too. I hope this post isn't pointless. I just feel overwhelmed but all of this and not sure where to exactly start. Any tips or recs would be seriously appreciated! via /r/solotravel https://ift.tt/2Ngaux9
