I'm going to be on a road trip from mid-June to mid-July with my family. Along the route we have time to stop at either Wind Cave or Jewel Cave.

  • Jewel Cave is on the way, Wind Cave adds about an hour of driving time
  • We are going to be seeing a lot of caves on the month long trip (caves in New Mexico, caves Virginia, caves in Kentucky) so is either of these sites especially unique compared to the rest?
  • There will be two adults, three kids (ages 9 -15)
  • We like hiking, not afraid of strenuous activity
  • Probably have 2 - 3 hours total to spend at the park before heading out

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
