two Yankees, two weeks, from Spokane, WA to Albuquerque, NM. Suggestions?
We are planning two days in the Coeur d'Alene/Moscow area (we will definitely spend time in Idaho in the beginning), Craters of the Moon, two days in Yellowstone/Teton area, Dinosaur NM, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, maybe Mesa Verde, Great Sand Dunes, Taos, NM, Santa Fe.
I had thought of Canyonlands/Arches but opted for the CO national parks instead. Any suggestions on scenic routes going generally South or East (so to minimize doubling back driving) in Idaho, western WY, western CO, and northern NM?
We also like interesting/unusual hotels/places to stay/eat. and KITSCH. Let us know! :)
