Tips for first time proper solo travel?
I’m 19F looking into travelling around Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England in December or January during my big uni break. I’m based in Australia however I am originally from London so I am wondering if it’s best to just go there and book flights from there?
Also I’m a bit scared, I know it’s always dangerous for a young girl to travel alone but does anyone have any tips/experiences with a UK travel trip. What’s the best/safest choice for accommodation? Hostels or Airbnb’s? I’m not concerned too much with price moreso which option is better suited for someone my age.
I’ve travelled alone in the past however the thought of doing a big trip is quite daunting for me, but I know it’s something I owe to myself to do. Just really keen to hear other people’s travelling tips. Doesn’t even have to be for a UK trip, anywhere in general.
Also, I know what I’m about to ask is subjective, but what are the major pros of travelling alone? I did travel alone about a year ago, loved it. For some reason though I’m sat here wondering and worrying if I’ll find myself feeling sad or lonely for the most part of a trip I book. Maybe I’m just overthinking. I’d love to hear any thoughts of any kind about solo travel.
