The Others: Married, 35+, 'settled' solo travelers, whats your story?

It's pretty safe to say that the vast majority of r/solotravel is the younger crowd but I know there's definitely a few of us Others® lurking here, too. We're the married folks, the ones who are 35+, maybe we have careers, mortgages, kids, you name it... basically beating the "I'll never get to travel again when I have a family/job/mortgage" odds that are often assumed in this sub (or so it seems).

So whats up? Lets talk about how we travel.

-How long is the typical trip?

-Where do you prefer to go? What's up next for you?

-What kind of accommodations do you seek out, what's important to you?

-What activities/sights/tours/things do you like to do when you get to your destination?

-What do you do for a living, how much PTO do you typically get per year? Did traveling play a part in your career choice?

-What's your family/home/kid/mortgage situation? How do you handle this with traveling solo?

-What's the biggest misconception people have about your solo travel? Anything you wish people could know?

-What's your typical budget? Daily/entire trip/airfare/you pick, answer as you wish.

-Name one place you'd go back to five more times and one place you'd never go again:

-Your best travel tip of all:
