Success stories(and failures) of traveling Asia (mainly SEA) during the off season months of June and onward?
So I really want to make it over to Asia this summer but the research I've been doing is suggesting to simply not due to poor weather and off season factors. The thing is I'm free now, not in the perfect weather timing all the websites are telling me. I'm in Europe now, planning on hitting Turkey in 2-3 weeks and wanting to head East. Where would you say is doable (and worth it), and where wouldn't you touch until proper seasons. My timeline is essentially open for the foreseeable future.
I don't mind a bit of rain, or a few days stuck inside here and there but I'm concerned also with things being open and winding up in ghost towns that have all the main attractions closed for the season. Anyone have success stories of traveling against the odds? Or if you must destroy my hopes and dreams, stories of it simply not working out.
