For those who solo traveled from Norfolk, VA to Las Vegas, NV, Any advice? I know my gender shouldn't matter, but as a female I do feel I need to avoid certain places since I will be alone. I plan on stopping only at truck stops and of course staying hotels VS in the car. This isn't a scenic viewing type of trip, this is me getting from point A to point B in the safest way possible. Was it easier to drive at night or during the day? How long did it take you to get there VS how long your trip planner estimated? Side note: Flying isn't an option because of my crippling fear of flying.
