Six days near Spain -- keep it busy or keep it simple?
Hi all,
I booked a flight in October to Madrid, a long layover in Lisbon and then a return flight from Madrid on a different airline six days later. Every time I think about planning, my itinerary changes.
Originally, the focus of my trip was to eat/drink through Rioja (I work in the wine biz). THEN as I did more research, my focus was a little Rioja and mostly San Sebastian (also used to work restaurants).
NOW I think maybe I should just skip the Lisbon to Madrid flight and spend the whole time Lisbon/Porto, and only the last day dealing with getting to my flight back from Madrid (it's an 8pm flight so not too worried).
This would be my third time to Spain (Madrid and Barca previously), but I have never been to Portugal.
I know I could do San Sebastian and Rioja in 2020, but it's difficult for me to give up the original plans. I'm looking for some more experienced internet strangers to give me some advice here, thank you!
