One month in Vietnam: Itinerary review

Hello everyone! Long time lurker, ocasional commenter of this corner of reddit. But! I think that the moment to post has finally come. In 3 days I'll be landing in Ha Noi, and my idea is to maximize my time in the country. Sadly, there is so much stuff to see that I don't think there is time for everything, so I cut out the south of the country. In short, I have made an orientative itinerary (only have reservations for Ha Noi first day and Hoi An) and would like to know whether you guys think it is ok or could get some improving:

  • 09/05-10/05: Ha Noi · My idea is to take these two days to simply wander around the city, get to see some important stuff and get used to the new surroundings. After lunch of the second day, take a flight at 16.55 to Da Nang, and then Grab to Hoi An.
  • 11/05-13/05: Hoi An · There is a lot to see and do there, furthermore its Buddha's birthday on the 12th. On the last day, bus to Hue.
  • 14/05-15/05: Hue · Again, pretty historical place so I suspect I will be quite busy getting around to see everything it has to offer. The idea is then to take a bus to somewhere close enough to Phong Nha Ke-Bang park, don't know where or how yet though.
  • 16/05-17/05: Phong Nha Ke-Bang · The park is quite scenic, thus it will be hiking time. Probably pay a visit to the amazing caves it has too (not the big one, sadly too expensive by far for my budget). Get a bus after lunch to move to Ninh Binh.
  • 18/05-20/05: Ninh Binh · Couple of relaxing days probably splurging a little bit more on one of the nice homestays and cycling around. The 20th would probably be wholly allocated to moving to Cat Ba.
  • 21/05-24/05: Cat Ba · Allocate one night to the typical cruise, then motorbiking around the island. On the 24th move to Ha Noi. Perhaps I have allocated too much time to this? I wanted to be sure to hit up the good spots in there.
  • 25/05: Ha Noi · Secure and make the trip to Ha Giang in the afternoon is my main concern this day.
  • 26/05-30/05: Ha Giang Region · After the first night, probably make the Ha Giang Loop via paid tour (Jungleman Tours most likely). The 30th would be for travelling to Sa Pa
  • 31/05-01/06: Sa Pa · I have heard that the place is loosing its charm but there are probably some worthy hikes around that look good enough. I would probably take an afternoon bus the second day to move to Bac Ha.
  • 02/06: Bac Ha · There is an amazing morning market on Sundays, and this is basically the reason why I want to visit. So it would be waking up early, spending the morning around the local market and then move to Ha Noi in the afternoon.
  • 03/06-06/06: Ha Noi · These days are in part a "buffer" in case I stay longer somewhere else, and in part allocated time for some distance work I would have to do. This, more than the other days, would probably be the time to explore some nicer spots a little bit more off the regular path. On the 6th I take a flight to Myanmar, but that's another story.

So this is it! I would be very thankful if you see that something is off or I am missing on whatever you think I should visit. Thank you for your time, and happy travelling everyone!
