Looking for tips on getting from Belgrade to Istanbul by the 5th
Hello! I’m on my third solo trip, I’ve decided to do a few Workaways on this one because I like having the structure! I just finished a month in Budapest and I have work lined up on the 5th, in a few days. I found a cheap company that drove me down to Belgrade from Budapest and I was hoping to stop off in Sofia for a day or two before heading to Istanbul. I didn’t realize my travel days would land on a national holiday in Serbia, but I’ve still been able to enjoy the local microbrews and check out the sites (despite the rain!) but now I’m having a hard time getting to Istanbul.. I could fly, sure, but I wanted to go over land and stop in at least one more place before getting there. Does anybody know how to get closer to Istanbul via Belgrade? Any major city will do.. I can’t seem to find any goood busses and I assume it’s because of the holiday. If I do have to fly, does anybody know if there’s a bus from downtown?
