Living in the Middle East for a year, ideas for weekend trips?
Hi /r/solotravel,
I'm going to be based in Kuwait till next May, working a full time job and living in Kuwait City. I'm trying to take the opportunity to travel extensively within the region. It's my first time in the Middle East.
I'll have the ability to go for three day, two night weekend trips, wherever I can fly in a reasonable amount of time from Kuwait City on a Canadian passport.. Does anyone have suggestions for travel destinations within the region?
I'll likely end up going to Dubai, Manama, Doha, and maybe Muscat at least once for work-related stuff, so I was wondering about more adventurous destinations that I could hit up over the weekends while I'm here.
And if anyone has any suggestions for Kuwait itself, I just got here, so I'm open to hearing!
Cheers.
