I'm gonna be travelling for 3 months in SE asia next year. I will hopefully learn how to use a menstrual cup before then, so I'm covered on that part. But I was wondering if anyone had any tips for period pain.

Sometimes I'm fine on my period, but sometimes I have to lay in bed the whole day clutching a hot water bottle while taking prescription pain killers (diclofenac). I do get quite regular periods normally, so I would plan my travels so that I don't have anything special planned on the first day of my period+day before.

Last time I tried hormonal contraceptives, I got very bad moods, so I prefer to find other options. Do you have any tips?
