Help me decide between Peru and Colombia.
Hey there I have the next 6 weeks to travel for presumably my last solo trip this year. I will be in Madrid for a few days next week and the plan is to go to either Columbia or Peru to then fly to Mexico and Cuba before flying back from there. The flight from Lima to mex would be a bit more expensive but other than that I feel like both would be possible.
I assume I'd spend around 10 days in either country.
In Peru I'd love to do a bit of trekking maybe salkantay but I'm not sure and machu picchu.
In colombia I'd probably go to Bogota and Cartagena or Medellin.
So my question is what would you recommend/ can you recommend any companies to do the salkantay trek with? What Has your experience been like ? Would you skip south America or focus on North America? Thanks for any help.
