Four Days in Scotland - How much can I see by car?
Hello /r/solotravel,
I'm heading to Europe for a wedding in two weeks and have really left shit to the last minute in planning anything. I'm flying into London and spending four days there, with about a week and a half before the wedding day in France. I'm an avid landscape photographer and thought it might be a good chance to spend a short time in the sunny land of Scotland (I have Scottish heritage too so it might be nice to see the land of my grandparents). I'd like to squeeze it into four days, but honestly I'm not sure it's enough.
I found this itinerary online: https://www.scotland.org.uk/scotland-tours/tours/taste-of-scotland-tour but I think it's a little too tourist heavy for me. I'm looking at lovely spots to stop and take photos more than I am visiting Castles (although that'd be nice too)
Obviously it's hard to have it all.
Is anyone from Scotland or done something similar? I really don't know anything about Scotland apart from the Isle of Skye being stunning. I'd like to visit at least two whiskey Distillery to buy two bottles on the way as well.
Best,
shrug
