I'm heading to Peru for 12-14 days in August, flying in and out of Lima and spending a good chunk of the time in Cusco.

I'm debating whether to stop in Paracas and see Islas Bastellas or to spend a few days in Arequipa and hike Colca Canyon, OR to do neither and spend more time in Cusco, Sacred Valley, etc.

Also taking suggestions of an alternate third location. I was thinking of doing Huaraz and Laguna 69 but it seems like it will take too much time getting there and back than it’s worth. I like nature, views, food, art, walking around/roaming aimlessly, taking photos.
