Flying into Germany - need advice!
I’m planning a solo trip in about a month to fly into Germany, spend a lot of time traveling the country, and then going down into Italy using a Eurail pass (I’m from the US).
My problem lies in that I want to see Cologne, but it is very out of the way of the other cities I want to visit (Berlin, Dresden, Stuttgart, and Munich)
Would it make more sense to fly into Berlin, go down into Dresden, go across to cologne, down into Stuttgart and then Munich to Italy?
Alternatively, I could fly into Frankfurt (not a city I’m interested in), take a train up to cologne, go across to Berlin, down to Dresden, Stuttgart, and then Munich and then to Italy.
Any help would be very much appreciated :)
