First time doing a solo trip. Going to NYC at the end of June. Should I stay at a hostel or book an airbnb and go to couchsurfing events to meet people?
I've stayed in hostels before when I've traveled with friends, and they've been pretty hit or miss as far as the atmosphere goes. I'd be there for 4 nights, and I'd like to be somewhere central to all the activities a tourist would do, but also have a good social scene and some nightlife.
