First international travel and I'm TERRIFIED!
Hi, this is my first time posting here.
I've traveled solo within my own country a few times, but for the first time I'm going to another continent and I'm paralized with fear, My budget is really limited and my knowledge of the place where I'm going is null.
The reason I'm traveling is because I got a research paper accepted for a conference in Australia, I thought my university wouldn't help me financially, but they offered me to pay my entire flight... so I'm going!
What should I do? Do I need insurance? What if there's an emergency? If a connection flight gets canceled, how can I manage the rest? I would probably need to flight to the USA to get to Australia, do they have different rules and criteria on their airports? Thank you so much, I appreciate any advice you can give me ❤️
