I have a US and Syrian passport. I'm planning a solo trip to Iran in the near future. From what I understand, Americans who visit Iran have to be with a guide the whole time. In addition to being more expensive, it sounds straight up annoying, so I was thinking of flying to Iran from Syria on my Syrian passport. No visa necessary.

That being said, I'm toying with the idea of exploring more of Central Asia overland while I'm out there, primarily Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. Would I be able to leave Iran to, say, Turkmenistan, on my US passport, even if I had entered with my Syrian passport? Or would I just be stuck entering/leaving countries on my Syrian passport and probably go through hell to get visas? Anyone have experience with this sort of thing?
