Both excited and nervous about my first time in Europe. Any advice for a female traveler?
This is my first time traveling through Europe and I am beyond excited. This has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl and it’s finally happening! I will be traveling alone most of the time, about 10-12 days, before meeting up with friends in Denmark.
As my trip approaches, I find myself nervous and anxious about being alone in a strange place for so long. Most of my solo trips have only been for a few days in the states, where I’m from. I plan on beginning my trip in Cork, Ireland and then working my way through the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, and finally finishing my trip in Copenhagen. This really only gives me a few days in each country, but I want to try and see as much as possible.
I’m looking for any advice on: Hotels v. Hostels, Transportation, Sight seeing, Solo female travel, Language barrier (I speak English), Safety, What to expect, Currency exchange.
Since this is my first time solo traveling in Europe, I keep psyching myself out about my trip. Words of encouragement are also appreciated!
